JCI Venture LLC, as a part of Jagiellonian Center of Innovation Ltd Group, is a seed/venture capital fund. The fund invests in innovative projects from the area of life science, particularly being focused onto generic, and innovative drugs, medical devices, medical diagnostics (molecular), bioinformatics, nanotechnology (medical aspect).

The Fund targets new projects derived from academic institutions, research and development departments of the companies from the area of life science, scientists, entrepreneurs, and innovators. JCI Venture is capable of supporting each project with resources according to the projects needs, with the investment range from hundreds of thousands to few million Euros. Apart from money itself, the Fund provides also a laboratory infrastructure, and professional business consulting, as a natural consequence of being member of the JCI Group. As an investor and competent partner, JCI Venture Ltd supports financially startups development for the period of 3-5 years, engaging its experts in the company development and market success.

The Fund, in exchange for the invested capital is usually acquiring a minor package of shares, in newly established enterprises. JCI Venture does not limit its investments only to Poland, but it also seeks for prospective projects from the life science area, brought from abroad.

As a non-material support, JCI Venture is playing active role to provide necessary knowledge, expertise and advise, critical for the startup company survival and fast development, during the first period of its functioning on the market.
